Consecutive Interpreting

During Consecutive Interpreting the speaker stops every 1–5 minutes (usually at the end of every “paragraph” or complete thought) and the interpreter has an extra time to understand the whole text. Then the interpreter interpretes the text. A key skill involved in consecutive interpreting is note-taking, since few people can memorize a full paragraph in one hearing without loss of detail. Interpreter’s notes are very different from those of, say, a stenographer, because writing down words in the source language makes the interpreter’s job harder when he has to translate the speech into the target language.

Consecutive translation is generally done in places with small groups such as business meetings, presentations, advertisements and press conferences. In consecutive translation, we service with our expert translators who are higly experienced in this field. Our well trained interpreters render the translation texts with accuracy from the shortest to the longest one. Consecutive interpreting needs special trainings. We organize education programs and seminars for our interpreters to improve the translation quality and fulfill the expectations of our clients. So you can trust BETA in consecutive interpreting. Because we offer the best proposals for you!
