Turkish Power of Attorney Legalization for Vietnam

Vietnam is, for now, not a Hague Apostille Convention member for documents originating in Turkey. Until 11 September 2026, a full legalization chain through the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnamese diplomatic mission in Ankara is required.

No unusual delays reported. Standard notary and Ministry of Foreign Affairs processing times apply; the consulate stage has not shown the appointment bottlenecks seen with some other destinations.

Standard government tariffs apply — no destination-specific surcharge. Confirm current rates at each stage before quoting, as these are updated periodically.

What changes after 11 September 2026

Once Vietnam’s Hague Apostille Convention membership takes effect, this entire consulate chain is replaced by:

1. Sworn translation
2. Notarization
3. Apostille (issued by the provincial authority)
