Thailand deposited its instrument of accession on 30 June 2026. The Apostille Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. Until that date a Turkish apostille is not sufficient; the consular chain (sworn translation, notary, MFA, Thailand Embassy in Ankara) applies. After 28 February 2027, an apostille on covered public documents is expected to replace embassy legalisation — confirm with the receiving institution during the transition.
